Hi. I’m Matt, an IT consultant with over 25 years experience.

I’ve been working in IT for all my professional life, having started as an AS400 developer for a local authority and subsequently a fire protection firm back in the late 90’s – I moved into desktop support for Microsoft products a couple of years later and haven’t looked back since.

I’ve experienced every version of Windows from DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 onwards. Windows 8 was not my favourite, but I don’t think I’m the only person there!

I have always had an enjoyment for tinkering with scripting and trying to make life easier for IT staff and with the introduction of PowerShell (somehow 20 years ago!) Microsoft made a massive leap forward from the old batch files and made it possible to do so much more.

Today, I still enjoy supporting people and fixing their IT woes, but my true passion lies with making IT life easier for everyone.
Whether this be a simple PowerShell script which makes a couple of repetitive tasks quicker or a full-blown, completely automated JML solution which takes away the headache of on- and off-boarding your staff, it gives me a sense of achievement knowing that someone’s life is a little easier and the mundane is a little less intrusive.
